An oncology affiliation agreement between the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of Georgetown University Medical Center, and our John Theurer Cancer Center, to foster robust collaboration among clinicians and researchers from both institutions. In late 2013, there was a successful site visit to the John Theurer Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), representing the beginning stages of becoming recognized as an NCI-designated facility.
